Credit card bonus rewards for April 2021

Citi Double Cash – appears targeted, activation required: Earn additional 4% cashback up to $25 on Restaurants, including outdoor dining, curbside pickup, drive-thru, takeout, restaurant delivery orders – from activation to 04/30/2021.

Chase Freedom: earn 5% cash back at Gas Stations and Home Improvement stores from April 1st 2021 – June 30, 2021 on up to $1,500 in purchases.

Maximizer Tips:

1. You cannot use Discover cards in Costco warehouses but you can use them at Costco.com. So you can still earn 5% on Costco purchases at Costco.com. Beware, some of the items on Costco.com cost more than the same item in the warehouse.
2. 4% additional on Citi Double Cash makes it a 6% on dining categories but only up to $25 in statement credit.

1. It is easy to reach $1,500 in spend at Costco. Keep an eye on it.
