Credit Card Bonus Rewards for November 2022

Note: Discover IT and Chase Freedom requires you to enroll each quarter before you start earning a quarterly bonus in these categories. These offers usually require activation and could be targeted and may have an earning cap. See the issuers’ websites for all exclusions and terms.

Discover IT: Earn a 5% cash back at Amazon.com and Digital Wallets, from Oct 1st to December 31st, 2022, on up to $1,500 in purchases.https://www.discover.com/credit-cards/cashback-bonus/cashback-calendar.HTML. Digital Wallet purchases include those made online and in-store with a smartphone, tablet, or wearable like Watch from Apple, Garmin, Samsung, etc. Wallets that qualify include Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and Garmin Pay. 

Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Flex: Earn a 5% cash back from Chase on up to $1,500 in combined purchases at Walmart and purchases made using PayPal from October 1st to December 31, 2022. Walmart purchase includes  Walmart Discount Stores, Walmart SuperCenters, Walmart Neighborhood Markets, www.walmart.com, Walmart branded gas stations operated by Walmart, any other Walmart branded retail stores operated by Walmart and purchases made with Walmart Pay (check out www.chasebonus.com for details).

Some targeted American Express offers: These are targeted offers and you have to see them on your online/mobile AmEx account and add them before using them. These offers are not available to everyone.

• Kroger – Order online for pickup and delivery – Spend $50 or more, get $25 back. Online only, expires 12/31/22.
• Hilton – Las Vegas and Nevada locations – Spend $500 or more, get $100 back. Online and In-store, expires 02/28/23.
• Under Armour – Spend $50 or more, get $10 back, Online and In-store, expires 12/31/22.
• Columbia Sportswear – Spend $125 or more, get $25 back. Online and In-Store, expires 12/31/22
• Turo – Spend $150 or more, get $30 back. Online only, expires 4/21/23.

Maximizer Tips:

1. You could use PayPal for shopping at many retailers and earn 5% on top of PayPal cash when you use Chase Freedom connected to PayPal. For e.g., as of this writing, you can earn an additional 3% at Home Depot, an additional 1% at Walmart, and more.
2. To maximize your rewards earnings, don’t forget to check out standard rewards on your card at https://www.cardquarterly.com/always-on-rewards/
3. You could use Apple Pay or Google Pay at many retailers to earn 5% on Discover. Just make sure to pick Discover if you have multiple cards in the digital wallet.

Watch Out!!

1. Make sure Discover is your default card in your digital wallet for this quarter.
2. Payments made through the Xoom transfer service, which is owned by PayPal, are not eligible for 5%. Friends and Family or Person-to-Person (P2P) transactions made with a Chase Freedom card on PayPal are not eligible for 5%.
3. Using digital wallets to make purchases on Amazon.com will only earn a total of 5%.
4. Caution for TURO: It is not clear but very likely that Turo rentals do not qualify for 5%. Also, Rental vehicles from TURO are NOT covered by most auto insurance companies and most major credit card CDW programs. As a matter of fact, we have not found any auto insurance company or card issuer that covers TURO rentals. There are insurance options from TURO through a major auto insurance company, but it is not clear whether the renting party is fully protected as he or she would have with their own auto insurance. Make sure you fully understand before renting from TURO.
