3. You could use Apple Pay or Google Pay at many retailers to earn 5% on Discover. Just make sure to pick Discover if you have multiple cards in the digital wallet.

Watch Out!!

1. Make sure Discover is your default card in your digital wallet for this quarter.
2. Payments made through the Xoom transfer service, which is owned by PayPal, are not eligible for 5%. Friends and Family or Person-to-Person (P2P) transactions made with a Chase Freedom card on PayPal are not eligible for 5%.
3. Using digital wallets to make purchases on Amazon.com will only earn a total of 5%.
4. Caution for TURO: It is not clear but very likely that Turo rentals do not qualify for 5%. Also, Rental vehicles from TURO are NOT covered by most auto insurance companies and most major credit card CDW programs. As a matter of fact, we have not found any auto insurance company or card issuer that covers TURO rentals. There are insurance options from TURO through a major auto insurance company, but it is not clear whether the renting party is fully protected as he or she would have with their own auto insurance. Make sure you fully understand before renting from TURO.
