    Discover IT: Earn 5% Cashback Bonus at Earn 5% Cashback Bonus at  Restaurants, Home Improvement Stores, and Select Streaming Services,   From January 1st, 2025 to March 31st, 2025, on up to $1,500 in purchases when you activate.https://www.discover.com/credit-cards/cash-back/cashback-calendar.html . Note:  Restaurant purchases generally mean purchases at full-service restaurants, cafes, cafeterias, fast-food locations, caterers, and restaurant delivery services. Some restaurants are located inside hotels or retail stores and establishments classified as a bakery, may not qualify. Home Improvement Store purchases include online and in-store purchases directly at home improvement retail stores, building supply stores (e.g. lumber, paint, and hardware stores), as well as lawn, nursery, and garden supply stores. Home furnishings, home appliances, and flooring stores are not included. Included Select Streaming Service : Amazon Music, Amazon Prime Video, AMC+, Apple Music, Apple TV, Audible, DirecTV Stream, FUBO, Google Play Music and Video, Max, iHeartRadio, MLB.TV, Netflix, Pandora, Paramount Plus, Peacock, Showtime, SiriusXM, Sling TV, Spotify, Starz, Vudu, YouTube Music, YouTube Premium, and YouTube TV. Some other popular streaming services may be included.

    Watch Out:

    1. Bakeries may not qualify as restaurants. It all depends on how the place is showing up in the Discover systems.
    2. Home Furniture/furnishing, appliances, and flooring stores are not included.
    3. Only direct billing/purchase from streaming services are included; bundles and add-ons most likely will not qualify.

    Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Flex: Earn a 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in combined purchases at Grocery Stores excluding Walmart® and Target®, Norwegian Cruise Line®, Fitness Clubs & Gym Memberships, and Hair, Nails & Spa Services from January 1st, 2025 to March 31th, 2025. (check out https://www.chasebonus.com/ for details). Note: Walmart, Target, Sams, BJs, Costco and other also sell groceries and most likely will not qualify for the 5% cash back on groceries. We have noticed that some registered at WalMarts sometimes show up with grocery codes. They may or may not qualify.

    Maximizer Tips:

    1. Costco allows the use of Discover on their online and mobile purchases.
    2. To maximize your rewards earnings, don’t forget to check out standard rewards on your card at https://www.cardquarterly.com/always-on-rewards/
    3. Use Chase Freedom cards for Amazon purchases even if you have an Amazon Prime card, because it is a better value.
    4. Pike Nurseries’ offer is available from many issuers, so you can use it on each card.
    5. Even though schools are still in session and back-to-school is not even in anyone’s mind. But some of the AmEx offers are very back-to-school focused.

    Watch Out!!

    1. Discover cannot be used at Costco’s physical locations. But you can use it for purchase at Costco.com and on the Costco mobile app.

    Maximizer Tips:

    1. Since both Discover and Chase Freedom are offering 5% cash back on groceries, so if you have both, you can potentially use Discover for groceries but use Chase Freedom at Target.
    2. To maximize your rewards earnings, don’t forget to check out standard rewards on your card at https://www.cardquarterly.com/always-on-rewards/
    3. If you also have an Amazon Prime card, then you could use Discover and Chase Freedom at Whole Foods locations instead of the Amazon Prime card, because you could get a better redemption value.
    4. Pike Nurseries’ offer is available from my issuers, so you can use it on each card.

    Watch Out!!

    1. Discover excludes Target but Chase Freedom includes it.
    2. You will only earn a total of 5% at Target if buy groceries using Chase Freedom.No double dipping.
    3. Caution for TURO: It is not clear but very likely that Turo rentals do not qualify for 5%. Also, Rental vehicles from TURO are NOT covered by most auto insurance companies and most major credit card CDW programs. As a matter of fact, we have not found any auto insurance company or card issuer that covers TURO rentals. There are insurance options from TURO through a major auto insurance company, but it is not clear whether the renting party is fully protected as he or she would have with their own auto insurance. Make sure you fully understand before renting from TURO.
    4. Turbo Tax prices and offers change many times and you may not get the offer or pricing if submitted after their offer window even if you started during the offer window.
